ALTA first made contact with this territory in 1991. In terms of volume, the most significant commodity is the supply of iron ore from Ukraine to the Czech Republic and Austria. In the past few years, cooperation has expanded to include a number of mining companies in the area of Krivy Rog. Important projects have been implemented in connection with technology for ore mining and processing. The company has made a significant contribution to the reconstruction of the technological lines of OAO Poltavskii gorno-obogatitelnyi kombinat (1995-1999) and ZAO Zaporozhskii zheleznorudnyi kombinat (from 1998 to the present). In 2003, ALTA implemented a turnkey construction project for OAO Asfaltobetonnyi zavod, Kiev, connected with the production of bituminous compounds. The company has been involved in long-term cooperation with GP ANTK imeni O.K. Antonova in the field of machine tool supplies and with OAO Pervomiskdizelmash in the field of turbo-blower supplies, and makes purchases of spare parts for Czech nuclear power stations.
