The Unit safeguards supplies of iron ore materials and anthracene oil to the Czech Republic. It caters iron ore materials for the company Moravia Steel a.s. since 1996 in the volume of 1–2 mil tons per year. Since the year 2009 it imports anthracene oil for DEZA a.s.
